The 2016 color of the year is actually 2 colors; Rose Quarts and Serenity. Pink and blue are not new colors, of course. But the idea behind this trend is to forget the word "clash" and pair the two colors together. Try out this trend easily by pairing a rosy lipstick with your favorite blue jeans.
This started in the 70's with skinny scarves and came back in the 90's with rubber "tattoo" chokers. Fast forward to present time, it's back again but with a twist. This trend now is about innovation and being able to make an accessory out of anything. Tying hair scarves, string, or even the drawstring from your favorite robe, around your neck and calling it a necklace is just the kind of innovation this trend is talking about.
